Google PageSpeed Insights are a worthless metric….to an extent. Google does not use PageSpeed Insights to determine rankings. However, site speed is a ranking factor (which is also used by Google PageSpeed). Your performance test score can give you a pretty good idea of where you stand on that front, but hitting a 100/100 won’t guarantee you a top spot on the SERPs.
By default, we do not optimize for Google PageSpeed Insights (due to their insignificance), but we can for an additional charge (scope based on website). However, do optimize for website loadtime.
